Some of my illustrations will be shown at an exhibition featuring art work inspired by John Hughes movies. The work is pretty different and pinker from what I would normally do, but then again do I have a "normal"...maybe not ;)

Akemi Ito of My Picture Book Cafe and other Vancouver area artists are showing...I am not sure if there are any other islanders/out of towners besides me. If you're in Vancouver please take a peek...I also heard that HOT ART Wet City throws amazing opening night parties;)

So I don't think of myself as a big city person, but for some reason when I visit them I can't help but photograph them!  Here is a random selection of "Seattleness".

"Victoria: Past, Present, and Future" at Art Atelier 546

Art Atelier 546 is celebrating it's Grand Opening on April 18.  Their first show features 20 Victoria photographers and over 100 images.  Here is a sneak peak of 5 of my pieces for the show.  The "Tree Tops" photo in the front has been requested in a larger format...so wait and see!

Tasty food in small packages...Happy year of the goat!

For Lunar New Year, 10 of friends got together to make potstickers, sesame balls, and other tasty Chinese treats.  These labour intensive little treats were made with asian influences and an organic hippie twist!  Beautiful and delicious.

Food from my childhood...kind of!  We didn't eat this everyday but sometimes.  To be honest I am not really sure if it was for special occasions or just when we happened to have them.  I do remember watching my mom make these things and didn't really appreciate how much work and fine motor skills it took to assemble these cute little packages.

Happy Year of the Goat!  (no goat was harmed in the making of this blog!)

Victoria Film Festival Opening and Gala 2015

The Victoria Film Festival opened Friday with "Boychoir" and a 1940's themed gala party with live singers and orchestra, lindy hop and swing, great food and street performances.
